Amsterdam, tulips, windmils and villages

Day 1
Arrival in Amsterdam and lunch. Meeting with the guide and city tour in Amsterdam. Visit of a diamond factory.
Continuation to the hotel and overnight stay in Amsterdam or surroundings.

Day 2
Breakfast and meeting with the guide. Visit to The Zaanse Schans. The Zaanse Schans is a delightful old hamlet on the banks of the river Zaan with characteristic green wooden houses, charming stylized gardens, small hump-backed bridges, tradesmen's workshops, historic windmills and charming little shops. This enchanting hamlet gives an excellent impression of how a typical Zaanse village must have looked like in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
Visit of a cheese farm where you will see how the Dutch cheese is made and you will have the opportunity to taste different sorts of cheese. Continuation to Volendam where we will walk between the green wooden house, souvenir shops and eel smokehouse. Visit to the island Marken - which in fact is not an island. Marken is a semi island since a dike connected the island with the main land in 1957. The picturesque harbor, the small wooden houses - some of them built on piles - and the little streets make the visit really worthwhile.
Departure to Amsterdam where we will have dinner and a canal cruise afterwards.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 3
Breakfast and departure to the flower region. We will drive along the beautiful flower fields to the Keukenhof. Visit to the Keukenhof. In this spring garden of 28 acres big you can enjoy more than 6 million tulips and other flowers, flowering bushes and trees that are up to 160 years old.
Departure and end of the services of Holland Palette.
